The re-election only involves a few PKR branches, not all

PUTRAJAYA: PKR Party Selection Committee (JPP) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the decision to reconvene the branch elections at a certain level was due to complaints received during the previous election process.
Dr Zaliha said the complaints received were not only focused on a specific stage, but also covered the entire process including nominations, campaign period and results announced.
"We receive several types of complaints, in fact these complaints start from nomination to campaign and the last one is the election result," he said.
She also informed that all complaints are being thoroughly scrutinised by the Party Selection Committee (JPP).
"Only those levels that are affected or have a solid basis for the allegations will go through the re-election process.
She said the review process on other complaints that had not yet been decided would continue carefully to ensure justice to all parties involved in the selection.
Previously, several leaders, including Cabinet members and PKR elected representatives, were reported to have submitted a formal appeal to the JPP regarding the results of the recent branch level elections.
