No change in specific visa requirements for Malaysians in the US

KUALA LUMPUR: The Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) has stressed that there are no changes to visa requirements or immigration policies that specifically affect Malaysians residing or travelling to the United States (US).

In a statement issued today, Wisma Putra explained that although there have been reports regarding recent immigration developments in the US, they are not aimed at Malaysians.

Wisma Putra advises Malaysian citizens who are in the US or planning to visit the country to always keep up to date with the latest developments regarding entry, visa and immigration policies issued by the country's authorities.

According to the statement, the ministry will continue to monitor the situation and will inform of any changes that affect Malaysians, should they occur.

Malaysians are also advised to refer to official sources to obtain authentic information and exercise caution when planning travel or living abroad, in addition to complying with local laws and visa requirements which are strictly enforced.
