45,000 Manchester United-ASEAN All Stars tickets already on sale

KUALA LUMPUR: Nearly 45,000 tickets for the friendly match between English Premier League giants Manchester United and the ASEAN All-Stars at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil here on May 28 have been sold so far.
ProEvents Group Chief Executive Officer, Julian Kam, said the fan response was very encouraging, especially after United's dramatic victory in the Europa League quarter-finals, early this morning.
"So far, the response has been very good, ticket sales have almost reached 45,000. We hope that more fans will come to watch the biggest sporting event in Malaysia for 2025."
"Especially after United's performance in the Europa League quarter-finals, I think fans are excited to come in droves. Fans from ASEAN will also be there. So, get your tickets now," he said today.
In action early this morning, United, coached by Ruben Amorim, advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League after recording a dramatic 5-4 victory over French club Lyon, thus advancing 7-6 on aggregate.
United last visited Malaysia during the 2009 pre-season tour, beating Malaysia's Choice twice 3-2 and 2-0 on July 18 and 20 respectively at the National Stadium.
The record holder of 20 English championships is also scheduled to visit Hong Kong as part of their pre-season tour to take on the country's national team at the Hong Kong Stadium on May 30. – BERNAMA
