SINGAPORE: Two Singaporean ministers will issue Letters of Demand against Bloomberg following the publication of an article on December 12 that they described as a "defamatory article."
Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and Manpower Minister Dr Tan See Leng said in separate Facebook posts that they would issue a Letter of Claim in relation to an article touching on their property dealings.
"We will also take similar action against other parties who publish defamatory statements related to the matter. We take these allegations seriously," the two ministers said in a Facebook post on Monday. The article titled "Singapore Mansion Deals Are Increasingly Shrouded in Secrecy" published by Bloomberg reported how Singapore's wealthy people supposedly bought luxury bungalows secretly.
The article, among others, also touched on property matters by the two ministers.
