PM's Convoy Blocked By Lady Motorist on Highway

WOMAN DRIVER BLOCKS NAJIB’S ENTOURAGE

A few months ago, a controversy arose online after a Malaysian motorist took to Facebook to share his eyewitness account of how he saw fellow Malaysian motorists teamed up to block the VIP entourage of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, which brought about a widespread debate among Malaysians on whether or not it is illegal to block the entourage of a VIP.

Yesterday, another video concerning the subject of blocking a VIP entourage, found it’s way to Facebook where it garnered many negative comments from netizens who viewed the video.

The 1-minute long video filmed from a dashboard camera, showed a motorist travelling along a highway when suddenly, a police patrol bike zoomed past from the right line, while signalling for cars to move to the left lane and make way for the VIP entourage, which is suspected to be the entourage of Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The motorist, who is said to be a woman, weaved her car between the middle and left lanes of the highway a few times, and inched near the right lane a few times despite having two officers asking her to give leeway to the entourage.

As seen in the dashboard footage, the motorist continued to drive on the right lane

Another patrol officer, who saw the motorist opposing the orders of of the leading patrol officer, grew impatient at the rebellion of the said motorist and aggressively signalled her to move over while shooting astare at her.

One police officer, who grew tired of the motorist’s rebellious acts, shot her a dirty stare as he rode past her

After getting a cold stare from the officer on the patrol bike, the motorist finally gave in and moved to the left lane.

Many have bashed the Prime Minister for this incident, saying that he is oppressing road users and forcing them to give him leeway.
However, many don’t realise that it was not the Prime Minister who shot the dirty motorist with a dirty stare- but rather, the officer on the patrol bike.
The female motorist was not only endangering the lives of other motorists on the road, but also the lives of the officers on the patrol bikes- one of which, she almost hit with her car halfway through the video. What we think happened in this case, was that the third officer on the patrol bike who saw her almost hit another officer, grew tired of her nonsensical driving and impatiently asked her to move to the left lane.
