In Shah Alam:
Police arrested two men after a car chase from Subang Perdana to Sungai Buloh early this morning.
In the 2.15am incident, three men were on the run in their vehicle from the police.
Sensing that the trio planned to rob the restaurant, the policemen ordered them to alight from the car but they refused, he said.
"One of them fired two shots in the direction of the patrol car before speeding away from the scene. The patrol car gave chase until the Guthrie Corridor Highway, only to be fired at again.
"Due to the shootings, we asked for back up from the Shah Alam police headquarters," he said, adding that the gunman continued to fire at the pursuing policemen.
Later, Thaiveegan said, the trio's car entered Taman Sentosa, Klang before going out of control and ramming a Toyota Hilux and a road divider and coming to a halt.
He said the gunman and his accomplices were forced to flee from the car and attempted to escape on foot
The suspects had also fired several shots.
Sources said police personnel from Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang managed to stop the vehicle and captured one of the men aged 27, at Jalan Dato Dagang 19.
The police later arrested the second suspect, a 26-year-old man, at Jalan Dato Abd Hamid 20, while the third suspect managed to escape.
A pistol was found on the second suspect, who had four prior criminal records.

Selangor acting police chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan said about 2.30am, policemen in a patrol car saw three men behaving suspiciously inside a Perodua Viva near a restaurant in Subang Perdana.

TIGA LELAKI DIBERKAS DALAM KEJADIAN KEJAR-MENGEJAR DENGAN POLIS MPV
1. Tiga suspek ditahan oleh Cawangan Kereta Peronda (MPV) Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Selangor selepas cubaan meloloskan diri daripada pemeriksaan anggota MPV yang sedang melakukan rondaan di Subang Jaya awal pagi tadi.
2. Dalam sidang media yang dijalankan, Pemangku Ketua Polis Selangor berkata pihaknya turut merampas sepucuk pistol jenis Smith dan Wilson daripada salah seorang suspek yang melepaskan tembakan kearah polis semasa kejadian kejar mengejar dengan suspek.
3. Difahamkan ketiga-tiga suspek melarikan diri menggunakan sebuah kereta jenis Produa Viva melalui Jalan Subang menuju ke Sungai Buloh dan episod kejar mengejar berakhir apabila kereta yang dinaiki suspek telah melanggar sebuah kereta jenis Toyota Hilux di Taman Sentosa Klang.
4. Ketiga-tiga suspek cuba melarikan diri namun dua daripada mereka berjaya ditahan di kawasan berasingan. Pada jam 9.15 pagi tadi pihak polis berjaya menahan seorang lagi suspek di kebun kelapa sawit di Bandar Puteri Klang. Kesemua suspek akan ditahan reman keesokan harinya.
5. ‘Kesemua suspek dipercayai anggota ahli kumpulan 08 dan berumur lingkungan 26 tahun dan 27 tahun. Salah seorang suspek mempunyai rekod lampau dalam kes jenayah dan dadah. Siasatan awal mendapati pistol yang dirampas merupakan pistol yang dilaporkan hilang pada 13/8/2013 oleh seorang ahli perniagaan yang kerugian wang tunai RM3,250 dalam kejadian samun di Taman Eng Ann, Pekan Baru Klang dimana suspek telah menetak tangan mangsa semasa kejadian berlaku’, katanya.
6. ‘Dalam usaha menahan suspek ini, MPV dari tiga daerah iaitu IPD Subang Jaya, Klang Selatan dan Shah Alam terlibat dan saya amat berbangga dengan mereka kerana berani dan berusaha keras untuk memastikan ke semua suspek berjaya ditahan’, tambahnya lagi.
7. Pihak polis akan menjalankan siasatan menyeluruh untuk mengenal pasti samada ketiga-tiga supek terlibat dalam gangsterism dan jenayah lain. Siasatan dilakukan dibawah seksyen 307 Kanun Keseksaan iaitu cubaan membunuh dan seksyen 8 Akta Senjatapi 1971.
