Jangkitan Penyakit Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) di Malaysia
STATUS TERKINI KES DISAHKAN COVID-19 YANG TELAH PULIH
Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) ingin memaklumkan bahawa terdapat 74 kes yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini. Ini menjadikan jumlah kumulatif kes yang telah pulih sepenuhnya dari COVID-19 dan telah discaj daripada wad adalah sebanyak 4,776 kes (73.9 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes). Ini bermakna, jumlah kes yang didiscaj pada hari ini adalah hampir dua kali ganda kes baharu disahkan COVID-19.
STATUS TERKINI KES COVID-19 DI MALAYSIA
Sehingga 7 Mei 2020 pukul 12:00 tengah hari, terdapat 39 kes baharu yang telah dilaporkan. Ini menjadikan jumlah kes positif COVID-19 di Malaysia adalah sebanyak 6,467 kes. Oleh itu, jumlah kes aktif dengan kebolehjangkitan COVID-19 adalah 1,584 kes. Mereka telah diasingkan dan diberi rawatan.
Ingin dimaklumkan bahawa daripada 39 kes baharu yang dilaporkan hari ini, satu (1) kes import dilaporkan. Ini bermakna, kes penularan tempatan adalah sebanyak 38 kes, di mana sebanyak 8 kes telah dikesan dari kluster dan lokaliti di bawah Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Diperketatkan (PKPD).
Sehingga kini, seramai 19 kes positif COVID-19 sedang dirawat di Unit Rawatan Rapi (ICU). Daripada jumlah tersebut, lapan (8) kes memerlukan bantuan pernafasan.
Daripada maklumat terkini yang dilaporkan ke Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Kebangsaan, dimaklumkan bahawa tiada kes kematian berkaitan COVID-19 setakat ini. Justeru, jumlah kumulatif kes kematian COVID-19 di Malaysia kekal sebanyak 107 kes (1.65 peratus daripada jumlah keseluruhan kes).
SAMBUTAN HARI WESAK, 7 MEI 2020
KKM ingin menzahirkan selamat Hari Wesak pada hari ini iaitu, 7 Mei 2020 kepada semua penganut agama Buddha di Malaysia, terutamanya petugas kesihatan dan juga anggota barisan hadapan.
Lazimnya sempena Hari Wesak, penganut ajaran Buddha akan mengunjungi kuil Buddha bersama-sama keluarga pada waktu pagi untuk upacara keagamaan. Walaupun perhimpunan secara besar-besaran dan aktiviti kunjung-mengunjungi tidak dibolehkan pada masa kini, namun begitu sambutan Hari Wesak pada kali ini masih boleh diraikan dengan norma dan kelaziman baharu.
Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB) masih perlu dipatuhi, pastikan jarak sosial selamat (social distancing) sekurang-kurangnya 1 meter dari orang lain dan tidak mengadakan atau menyertai sambutan secara beramai-ramai.
KLUSTER PENGAWAL KESELAMATAN CHERAS
KKM telah mengenalpasti satu kluster yang melibatkan pengawal dan anggota keselamatan di sebuah pusat beli-belah di Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Sehingga 7 Mei 2020 jam 12 tengah hari, sebanyak sepuluh (10) kes positif COVID-19 telah dilaporkan dalam kluster ini yang melibatkan sembilan (9) warganegara Nepal dan seorang warganegara Malaysia.
Punca jangkitan bagi kluster ini masih di dalam siasatan. Langkah-langkah pembendungan dan pencegahan seterusnya telah diambil seperti mengenalpasti dan menjalankan ujian saringan COVID-19 ke atas semua pekerja dan kontak rapat mereka.
Kesemua kes warganegara Nepal dalam kluster ini tinggal di kediaman yang sama di Cheras. Saringan COVID-19 telah dijalankan ke atas penghuni kediaman mereka, pengawal dan anggota keselamatan di pusat membeli-belah tersebut, dan juga pekerja pasaraya yang berkait rapat. Setakat ini, seramai 436 orang telah disaring, di mana 10 kes didapati positif, 347 kes negatif dan 79 orang masih menunggu keputusan.
Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD) Cheras dan Titiwangsa akan terus menjalankan pemantauan ke atas kenaikan kes COVID-19 berkaitan kluster ini. Kesemua kontak rapat setiap kes telah dipanggil untuk tujuan saringan dan pendidikan kesihatan juga telah diberikan.
NASIHAT KESIHATAN BERKAITAN COVID-19
Para majikan pelbagai sektor ekonomi yang dibenarkan beroperasi perlulah patuh kepada syarat-syarat dan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) yang ditetapkan oleh pihak berkuasa berdasarkan sektor masing-masing.
Tambahan pula, adalah amat penting bagi majikan dan semua pekerja supaya sentiasa ikut amalan yang betul di tempat kerja masing-masing seperti:
- Elakkan berada di kawasan yang sesak (crowded space);
- Elakkan berada di kawasan yang tertutup (confined space) secara beramai-ramai pada masa yang sama, seperti di ruang makan (pantry) di tempat kerja;
- Kekalkan jarak 1 meter ketika cakap bersemuka dengan orang lain (close conversation).
KKM akan terus memantau perkembangan kejadian jangkitan ini melalui maklumat yang diperolehi daripada pihak Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO). Orang ramai akan sentiasa dimaklumkan sebarang perkembangan terkini mengenainya. Begitu juga, KKM akan memastikan langkah pencegahan dan kawalan yang sewajarnya adalah dilaksanakan secara berterusan.

UPDATES ON THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)
SITUATION IN MALAYSIA
Current Status of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Who Have Recovered
7 May 2020 – The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 74 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 4,776 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully (73.9% of total cumulative cases). The number of cases discharged is almost two times higher than the additional confirmed COVID-19 cases reported today.
Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia
7 May 2020, 12 pm – A total of 39 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,467 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,584 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have been isolated and provided treatment.
Of these 39 additional cases reported today, one (1) is an imported case. The remaining 38 cases are due to local transmission, of which eight (8) cases were detected in clusters and localities under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
Currently, 19 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, eight (8) cases are on ventilation support.
Fortunately, no additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there remains 107 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.65% of total cumulative cases).
Wesak Day Celebrations, 7 May 2020
MOH wishes a Happy Wesak Day today, 7 May 2020, to all Buddhists in Malaysia, especially healthcare workers (HCWs) and all frontliners.
Usually during Wesak Day, Buddhists will visit the Buddhist temple with their families in the morning for a religious ceremony. Although mass gatherings and visitation activities are not allowed at this time, however, Wesak Day can still be celebrated with new norms and practices.
The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) must still be complied with, ensuring safe social distancing is at least 1 metre away from others, and not participate in mass gatherings or celebrations.
Cheras Security Guards Cluster
MOH has identified a cluster involving security guards and personnel at a shopping mall in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. As of 7 May 2020 12 pm, ten (10) confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in this cluster involving nine (9) Nepalese nationals and one (1) Malaysian.
The source of infection for this cluster is still under investigation. Further precautionary and preventive measures have been taken, including identifying and conducting COVID-19 screening tests on all employees and their close contacts.
All of the Nepalese national cases in this cluster live in the same residence in Cheras. COVID-19 screening has been conducted on all members of this household, security guards and personnel at the mall, as well as other closely connected personnel at the mall. So far, 436 individuals have been screened, of which 10 individuals were found positive, 347 tested negative and 79 are still awaiting results.
The Cheras and Titiwangsa District Health Office will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in the cluster. All close contacts of each case have been contacted for screening and health education was also provided.
Health Advisory on COVID-19
Employers of various economic sectors who are allowed to operate must comply with all of the requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the authorities based on their respective sectors.
In addition, it is very important for the employer and all employees to maintain proper practices in their workplace such as:
- Avoid crowded spaces
- Avoid confined spaces with many people at the same time, such as in the pantry at work
- Avoid close conversation, keep a distance of at least 1 metre from others while talking
MOH will continue to monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation based on available information from the World Health Organisation (WHO). The public will be continuously updated on the latest information. In addition, MOH will ensure that appropriate preventive and control measures are continuously implemented.
