Awal, Scha, Lara among highest-paid celebs

ACTOR Awal Ashaari and wife Scha Alyahya are among the highest paid couples in the local entertainment industry, but with their daughter they are possibly the most lucrative family on the scene.
Utusan Malaysia reported that at only two-and-a-half years old, daughter Lara Alana already attracts her own fans with a reality show on Astro.
Awal, whose real name is Ahmad Awaluddin Ashaari, 36, said he was grateful for the rezeki (good fortune) bestowed on them.
But he stopped short of admitting that his family was the most successful in Malaysia.
“It’s not lucrative but what they (the advertisers) get from us is worthy of the commitment we put in. I imagine that each of us has our own price, including Lara.
“So, when you combine all three, it seems lucrative. But people need to realise that there are three individuals involved,” he told Mega Hits, the entertainment pullout of Utusan Malaysia.
Awal said what was more important was that the family would draw the best publicity for advertisers.
Lara has 2.5 million followers on Instagram while those on her Facebook page have reached the one million mark.
The toddler has captured the hearts of her fans with her daily antics, especially her “outfit of the day” posts, marked by the hashtag #raraootd (Rara’s Outfit of the Day) on Instagram.
At a tender age, Lara already has at least three major endorsements under her belt.
Not to be outdone by their daughter, Scha has amassed 3.5 million Instagram followers while Awal has three million.
