Report on briyani rice with dog meat is in Tamil Nadu Not Malaysia, Stop Sharing False Stories

It's a hoax! Nasi kandar restaurants deny allegations of using dog meat

BUKIT MERTAJAM: The Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Operators Association (Presma) today denied allegations that nasi kandar restaurants in the country are using dog meat in place of mutton.
Presma deputy president Datuk Khadhar Shah Abdul Razak said the matter went viral on Facebook yesterday after user with the name “Udin Di Raja” uploaded news and pictures, which suggested nasi kandar restaurants here are replacing mutton with dog meat.
“Actually, the news and images used in that Facebook account is from a television channel and portal in Tamil Nadu, India, which were reporting on briyani rice (there that was served) with dog meat.
“Udin Di Raja used the those images, including that of dogs being slaughtered, and claimed that nasi kandar restaurants in Malaysia have been using dog meat to replace mutton,” he told a press conference, here today.
Khadar Shah, who is also Nasi Kandar Nasmir Sdn Bhd’s managing director, said the false news and images have left nasi kandar operators in Malaysia furious and it had adversely affected their business.
He urged the public to stop spreading the false news, stating that Presma would take legal action against the owner of the Facebook account if the person fails to come forward and openly apologise within the next three days. --Bernama
