Copter crash: Remains of Noriah’s husband and Kuala Kangsar MP arrive from Kuching

PETALING JAYA: The remains of the fourth and fifth helicopter crash victims recovered from the waters of Batang Lupar in Sarawak on Saturday have been transported on the Royal Malaysian flight Charlie C-130H from Kuching back to their families to be buried.
Their remains were identified as Asmuni Abdullah, husband of the late Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon, and Kuala Kangsar MP and Malaysian Palm Oil Board chairman Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein disclosed the identities of the bodies at the Kuching General Hospital on Saturday.
Asmuni's remains arrived at the Subang Airport at 7am on Sunday.
The remains of Wan Mohammad Khair-il arrived at the Sultan Azlan Shah Ipoh Airport at 6.10am on the same day.
Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and his wife were present at the airport.
Wan Mohammad Khair-il will be laid to rest at the Masjid Ubudiah, Bukit Chandan in Kuala Kangsar.
Only one of the six victims in Thursday’s helicopter tragedy remains missing.

Kuala Kangsar MP laid to rest.
KUALA KANGSAR: Datuk Wan Mohammad Khai-ril Anuar Wan Ahmad was laid to rest at the burial grounds next to the Ubudiah Mosque here early Sunday.
The Kuala Kangsar MP was buried at 9.15am.
