PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has claimed that the Election Commission is not releasing the results of the election.

The Pakatan Harapan chairman claimed that the EC officials are refusing to sign Form 14 which is required for the release of the results.

"This is a very serious thing. It is not fake news. You cannot take me to court for saying that," he told a packed press conference that was made up of local and international media at the Sheraton Hotel here on Wednesday night.

He claimed that the results should be out by now and that the Opposition had already crossed the 112 seats needed to form a government.


He also claimed that they have won six states - Kedah, Selangor, Penang, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Johor.

Dr Mahathir also claimed that Sabah is facing a similar issue, where polling officers are refusing to sign Form 14.

“I believe that Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal himself has already won. But they refused to sign Form 14 and therefore no announcement has been made that he won the elections,” he said, adding that there have been reports of blackouts in certain area
