#Gegaria Fest excites 20,000 visitors

SHAH ALAM: More than 20,000 people flooded the Setia City Convention Centre carpark in Setia Alam for the #Gegaria Fest concert, last night. At the highlight of the Media Prima Bhd’s inaugural event, visitors were entertained by performances from local acts DeFam, Noh Salleh, Akim & The Magistrate, Kugiran Masdo and Bunkface.

"This is my first show in 2018 and I did not expect such a great welcome. "At first, I was asked to present three songs, but seeing the spirit of you guys flooding the show tonight, I am so excited and will present an extra song," said Noh Salleh.

Also out to show off their skills was newcomer, Kugiran Masdo. "As a new group, we did not expect fans to know our songs but many did," said vocalist, Ali Sariah. The band performed three of their top songs, Teruna dan Dara, Bunga and Bercanda Di Malam Indah. The one-day fest offered a host of events, showcases and activities at five main zones: #Gegaria Makan-Makan, #Gegaria Throwback Tunnel, #Gegaria Lifestyle, #Gegaria Community and #Gegaria Entertainment.

This is #Gegaria Fest's first stop, with the next events scheduled for Feb 3 in Johor Baru and Feb 24 in Kuantan. © New Straits Times Press
