Teens charged with murder of girl who was stabbed 45 times



TEMERLOH: Two teenagers have been charged at a magistrate's court with the murder of a 14-year-old-girl.

A 15-year-old boy, who could not be named, and Zamirul Aliff Mohd Zaki, 19, both dressed in orange lock-up clothing were calm and understood their charges when it was read out to them before Magistrate Najwa Hashim here Friday (Dec 29).

The pleas of both the accused, who were unrepresented, were not heard.

They were alleged to have murdered Nur Amira Abdullah between 1.10am and 3.30pm at an oil palm plantation in Sungai Triang in Bera on Oct 25 near here.


On Oct 26, police found the body of Nur Amira who was stabbed 45 times with a sharp object believed to be a knife.

"The autopsy showed 45 stabs to the chest, abdomen, back of the body, both arms, and the left leg which caused injury to the lungs, and are believed to have been caused by a knife.

"The cause of death is due to multiple stab wounds to the torso," said Pahang Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Asst Comm Othman Nayan in a statement on Thursday (Dec 28).

Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Hajar Mustaffa said that they were still waiting for the forensic and chemist reports and offered no bail for the accused.

Magistrate Najwa set no bail and fixed Jan 24 next year for mention.
