Police request fans to have patience, long waiting lines to enter venue due to screening of spectators for the safety of all

IGP: Bear with us on long SEA Games queues, it’s about security

KUALA LUMPUR: The police are aware that there have been complaints about long waiting lines to enter venues for the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games (KL2017), but have asked for patience.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the delays were caused by a thorough screening of spectators before they enter these venues.
“We have had no untoward incidents during the SEA Games so far and we want to keep it that way.
“Even if spectators have to put up with long queues, the important thing is that everyone is safe,” he told reporters at Bukit Aman on Monday.
