Royal Malaysian Police announce reshuffling and Promotions for 46 Police Officers.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Police today announced reshuffling, transfers and promotions involving senior officers in 46 positions nationwide.

In a statement, Federal police corporate communications head Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the charges would be effective from Aug 7, onwards.

Leading the list is federal Criminal Investigation Department director Commissioner Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh who has transferred to the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department.

Taking over Mohmad’s position is the current Johor state police chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd.

Federal police secretary Deputy Commissioner Datuk Khalil Kader Mohd will take over as Johor state police chief.

Federal Management Department Director Commissioner Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah is be transferred to the Internal Security and Public Order Department.

Zulkifli’s post will be taken over by Integrity and Standards Compliance Department Commissioner Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab.

Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor will be transferred to Selangor as the new state police chief.

Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director Deputy Commissioner Datuk Amer Awal will take over as the new Sarawak Police Commissioner.

Deputy Sarawak Police Commissioner Deputy Commissioner Datuk Abd Aziz Yusof will take over as Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director.

Abd Aziz’s position will be taken over by federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (Asset Forfeiture/Legislation/ Detention) Deputy Commissioner Datuk Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim.

Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat will take over as the new federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (Asset Forfeiture/Legislation/ Detention). He will also be promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Johor deputy police chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad is the new Federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation deputy director (investigation/legalisation).

Integrity and Standards Compliance Department deputy director (Standards Compliance) Deputy Commissioner Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin has been appointed as Negri Sembilan state police chief.

Integrity and Standards Compliance Department chief assistant director (intelligence/operation) Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Azhar Hamzah will take over as the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department deputy director (Standards Compliance). He is also promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Federal Commercial Crimes Investigation Department deputy director (cybercrimes investigation/multimedia) Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Kamarudin Md Din will take up his new post as the Johor state deputy chief and is promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Kamarudin’s position will be taken over by federal Commercial Crimes Investigation Department chief assistant director (cybercrimes investigation/multimedia) Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Noordin Ismail, who is promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Othman Nanyan has been transferred to Pahang as state Criminal Investigation Department. He has been promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner.

Federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Adnan Azizon and city Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Guan Beng Kang will swap posts, with each other.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar in May said that a major reshuffle among the force's top brass was expected to take effect after Hari Raya Aidilfitri as part of the force's restructuring exercise.
