Two trespassers caught at Sungai Besi military camp

SUNGAI BESI: Two trespassers were caught at the military camp near here trying to pass themselves off as army officers.
City police chief Datuk Comm Amar Singh said the men arrived by car at 1.15am on Thursday.
"They claimed they came to meet a friend who is an army officer at the camp," Comm Amar said in a statement.
However, upon further inspection, the military guard could not find any army identification on the two men but found military uniforms in their possession.
When their cover was blown, they were immediately arrested.
Comm Amar said one of the suspects is a student in a private institution of higher learning while the other is jobless.
Both suspects are in their 20s and have no criminal record.
They have been remanded until June 3 while police investigate their actual motive for trying to enter the camp.
The case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for trespassing and Section 16 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for unlawful possession of military stores.
