Man crashes car to stop snatch thieves from fleeing on motorcycle in Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR: Two snatch thieves were stopped by a man who crashed his car into the duo as they were trying to flee on a motorcycle.

Two suspects had earlier snatched a bag from a 19-year-old girl at Jalan Kuari in Cheras yesterday at about 9.30am.

A man who was in his car saw what had happened and drove his vehicle towards the motorcycle in a bid to stop them from escaping.

Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Chong Kok Sin said the two were thrown off the motorcycle and broke their right legs.

“Both were sent to the Ampang hospital for treatment,” he said adding the two, aged 18 and 23, will be detained further for investigations.
