KUALA LUMPUR: Unable to get over his break-up with his girlfriend of seven years, a jilted lover has resorted to every stunt imaginable to humiliate her, including sharing her nude photo and accusing her of cheating him of his money.

His antics were too much for his 42-year-old ex-girlfriend, who only wanted to be identified as Wong, and she lodged a police report against him.

She also sought advice from MCA Public Affairs and Complaints Department chairman Datuk Seri Michael Chong.

Highlighting the plight of single mothers at a press conference in his office, Chong said Wong, who is from Johor, was in a relationship with the man since 2010, but broke it off after having enough of the man’s controlling ways.

“She started keeping her distance around Chinese New Year this year, hoping that she could eventually end the abusive relationship,” he said.

However, the man in his 40s, who is the victim’s secondary school friend, was not ready to end it and did not take her rejection very well.

He harassed her and accused her of cheating him of his money.

Additionally, Wong, a single mother, would receive up to 20 calls a night from an unknown number.

“But when she picks up, the caller would terminate the call.

“Her family members weren’t spared the harassment, too,” Chong said.

The man took his harassment further on May 15 when he sent Wong’s nude picture to her sister and labelled her a fraud.

“He texted the next day to say he would share the picture with Wong’s other family and friends,” Chong said.

The mental torture forced Wong to lodge a police report at the Kulaijaya police station.

“I believe the police there are investigating this case and I am appealing to the man to stop harassing Wong and her two teenage daughters,” Chong said.

Chong also advised women to never agree to posing nude or recording themselves in intimate moments.

“Tell them off and never be afraid to lodge a police report against them,” he said, adding that he has received 27 similar cases from both men and women since last year.
