KUALA LUMPUR: A motorist was brutally beaten up by several men after he allegedly crashed into a motorcycle and four cars near Kampung Datuk Harun, here recently, in a video that is making its rounds on social media.
It was learnt that the incident occurred at KM18.5 of the New Pantai Expressway at 2am on Feb 14.
The video recording of the incident however was uploaded on Thursday and has been making its rounds on Facebook.
In the one minute-long video, three men were seen punching and kicking the 24-year-old car driver.
It was believed that he had earlier rammed into a motorcycle with two motorcyclists on it, before crashing into four vehicles nearby.
Moments after the crash, several people approached the victim and started to beat him up. He was said to have sustained serious injuries and fell unconscious following the attack.
The two motorcyclists, both aged 19, also sustained severe injuries from the crash.
All three were later taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for treatment.
Checks by police revealed that the car driver, had just finished his night shift, was believed to be tired and sleepy.
It was learnt that police have yet to pick up anyone over the attack and the case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act for careless and inconsiderate driving.
