Wanted man not listed as second secretary of North Korean embassy

KUALA LUMPUR: Hyon Kwang-song, who is sought by police in the murder of Kim Jong-nam, is not listed as the Second Secretary of the North Korean Embassy in Malaysia, according to a Diplomatic and Consular Mission Malaysia list posted online.
A check by Bernama showed that the Second Secretary at the Embassy is a person named Yu Yong Nam and that the Ambassador is Kang Chol.
The list - last updated in December - is a list of staff working at Embassies and High Commissions in Malaysia. A Foreign Ministry spokesperson told Bernama that the information displayed on the list was given by the embassy and not from the ministry.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said on Wednesday that Hyon was identified as the Second Secretary at the North Korean Embassy in Malaysia.
Aside from Hyon, the other suspect being sought by police is 37-year-old Koryo Air employee Kim Uk-il. - Bernama.
