KAJANG: Police have arrested four women this afternoon in relation to the alleged child abuse case at a nursery in Bangi.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commission Othman Nanyan said the first arrest was made at the nursery located in Bangi Baru.
“Three caretakers, aged between 24 and 25, were arrested around 4.20pm. The nursery manager, 46, was detained at 5pm from another house, also in Bangi Baru.
“All the children involved in the case have been sent to the hospital for examination. No physical injuries were found,” he said.
A photo, depicting three children whose feet, hands and mouths appear to be bound up, had gone viral on social media.
It was reported that Othman confirmed receiving a report on the case yesterday.
The Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said earlier today that the ministry is currently investigating the case and that they will be working very closely with the police on the case.
