Witness testifies selling used oil drum to accused in Morais trial

KUALA LUMPUR: A lorry service centre owner has identified second accused G. Gunasekaran as the one who bought a used oil drum at his shop, the High Court here heard.
Lim Khai Meng, 63, told the court after he was questioned by deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin on which one of the seven accused in the dock went to his shop last year.
Lim said Gunasekaran, 48, told him the drum was for garbage.
When asked by DPP Wan Shaharuddin during examination-in-chief on the colour and price of the drum, he replied: “The drum was brown colour and a bit rusty and I sold it for RM20.”
Gunasekaran, R. Dinishwaran, 24, A. K. Thinesh Kumar, 23, M. Vishwanath, 26, S. Nimalan, 23, and S. Ravi Chandaran, 35, were charged with murdering Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais between Jalan Dutamas Raya Sentul and No. 1 Jalan USJ1/6D, Subang Jaya, between 7am and 8pm on Sept 4, 2015.
Army pathologist Kol Dr R. Kunaseegaran, 53, was charged with abetting the six in the murder.
The 53rd prosecution witness said Gunasekaran came to his shop with another person and that the drum was utilised to store used engine oil.
To another question by DPP Wan Shaharuddin on what the men did to the drum after they bought it, Lim said it was placed in a black Mitsubishi four-wheel-drive.
The trial before High Court judge Justice Azman Abdullah continues today.
