Viral 'news' of Dr Mahathir's death fake

PETALING JAYA: A viral "news" piece which reported on the death of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is confirmed to be fake.
Sunday's article titled BREAKING: Former Malaysia Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad Dies At 91 is one of many fake stories from the website http://telegraph-tv.co.uk which has the words "World's Most Reliable News Channel" written below its masthead.
The page appears to be relatively new with only a few articles hosted.
On Nov 6, the outlet carried another false piece of news claiming that former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had died.
