Personal bodyguard pleaded not guilty to a charge of pointing a pistol at a company director in a nightclub

Bodyguard charged with pointing pistol at company director

 
KUALA LUMPUR: A 43-year-old personal bodyguard pleaded not guilty in a Magistrate's Court here on Friday to a charge of pointing a pistol at a company director on Tuesday.
Freddy Lim Fon Lee claimed trial to a charge of failing to observe the pistol licence given to him under Section 8(b) of the Arms Act 1960 when he pointed the pistol at 48-year-old Chong Tai Ron at a night club in Plaza Damansara, Bukit Damansara at 10.20 pm on Oct 25.
He is liable to a jail sentence of seven years, a fine not exceeding RM10,000 or both if found guilty
Magistrate Husna Dzulkifly then allowed Lim bail of RM10,000 with one surety and warned him to not intimidate the prosecution witness.
Lim was also ordered to report to the nearest police station every month.
The court set Nov 23 for mention. - Bernama
