PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos (pic) has been detained by police at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Wednesday morning.

When contacted by The Star Online, the Red Shirts leader claimed that he was detained at about 8.30am after arriving from Dubai.

Jamal, who is also Sungai Besar Umno division chief, said that he would be taken to the Dang Wangi police station.

"I am not sure why I am being detained but I think it's to do with the Red Shirts," he said.

On Oct 11, a police report was lodged against Jamal for a Facebook post allegedly threatening a repeat of the May 13, 1969 racial riots.

He has since denied that the post was made by him and said it came from a fake account.

Several other police reports have also been lodged against him and the Red Shirts.
