Sunway Lagoon kicks off the Asia Flow Tour 2016
Over 35 participants from across Asia will converge at Sunway Lagoon on the 28th of May 2016, as it plays host to the first pro-qualifier leg of the Asia Flow Tour 2016.
The competition will see top flowboarders battle it out on Malaysia’s First Surf Simulator, the Flow Rider, across 5 categories that include, International Mixed Flowboard, International Mixed Bodyboard, National Pro Bodyboard, Open Mixed Flowboard, and Open Mixed Bodyboard.
“It is an honour and privilege for us to host the Asia Flow Tour 2016. It is our third time doing so and we are glad to have some of the best talent in the sport showcase their skills here. This event bears testament to our pursuit of always offering different experiences to our guests,” said Sean Choo, General Manager of Sunway Lagoon.
Amateur and professional flowboarders can test out their skills at this year’s event, as registration is still open till the 26th of May 2016.
Join any category now for a fee of RM 200 per person, and RM 30 for an additional category. Early birds catch a lower price at RM 170 per person, open till the 15th of May 2016.
Registered participants will receive 2 complementary beverages, 1 Sunway Lagoon admission ticket and more importantly, one complementary entrance to the eagerly anticipated Asia Flow Tour Celebration.
Spanning almost 12 hours long, the Asia Flow Tour celebration will start at 12:00pm and feature acts such as Sona One, BATE, Nasty Guru, DJ DEF, DJ Fatbone, H3, DJ Jenni F, Lawalah Familia, DJ Jag and MC Kvin. 2
Discovered by Joe Flizzow at 17, Sona One is Malaysia’s up and coming singer, rapper, songwriter, and publisher with Kartel Records.

The championships will also be held on an international level, divided into the well renowned ‘Flow World’, ‘Flow Europe’, and ‘Flow Asia’.
Coming to you from Asia’s Largest Man Made Surf Beach, the Asia Flow Tour 2016 will kick off at Sunway Lagoon then head on to Thailand, Indonesia, Korea and Singapore for the proceeding legs of the tournament.
