Part-time worker at a fast food outlet has been arrested for robbing and attempting to sexually assault a woman in the eatery's toilet

JOHOR BARU: A part-time worker at a fast food outlet has been arrested for robbing and attempting to sexually assault a woman in the eatery's toilet near Taman Mount Austin here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said investigations revealed that the suspect, in his 20s, dragged the victim into a toilet, molested and robbed her during the 6am incident on May 20.
“We arrested the suspect at the premises at around 10.35pm on Tuesday," he said in a statement here Wednesday.
The victim's friends highlighted the incident in his Facebook page, which has been widely shared.
In the post, the friend claimed that the victim had just come out of the toilet and was washing her hands when she saw the reflection of a man standing behind her.
The man then covered the victim's mouth and dragged her into a toilet stall meant for the disabled.
The friend claimed that the man hit the woman's head on the wall in an attempt to knock her out, but she screamed for help.

Her friends rushed to her rescue but the attacker managed the flee the scene with the woman's handbag.
