For Tourist visiting Sabah, you have to drop by Hard Rock Kota Kinabalu if not for the delicious food, just to get your Hard Rock KK Souvenirs! The World Reknown Hard Rock Cafe chain has an outlet in Kota Kinabalu.
Located at in the Oceanus Waterfront Mall at Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad Stephen in Kota Kinabalu, the new Hard Rock Cafe Kota Kinabalu will undoubtedly be a must-see for both visitors and locals. The new cafe also joins popular Hard Rock Cafes in Malaysia, including locations in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Melaka.
The 2-floor, 7,914-square-feet café includes indoor seating for 148, an upscale vibrant bar and an outdoor area that can accommodate 30 guests. A live entertainment space that will feature Kota Kinabalu’s unique local music scene, and a Rock Shop.
Like the other Hard Rock Cafe's Memorabilia from Hard Rock’s iconic collection adorns the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Kota Kinabalu, including items from legendary and contemporary musicians from around the world.
Fans will be able to see Nikki Minaj’s black lace dress; Lenny Kravitz’s turquoise shirt; Jesse Carmichael of Maroon 5’s Fender Stratocaster guitar; Rihanna’s Black and White “Boy” outfit; Slash’s top hat; and much more.
If you are looking for some great wholesome American food then you are in the right place as they have some of the best selection of burgers, steaks and ribs.
The have a great choice of Starters and most likely you will be spoilt for choice. if you want a sampler then the Jumbo Combo is highly recommended as it includes Spring Rolls, Chicken Wings, Potato Skins and Tupelo Chicked. Be warned the HRC Nachos comes in a huge portion.
The absolute must try and personal favourite of mine is the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla.
They have some great Entrees too such as the Twisted Mac and Cheese, Fish and Chips, New York Strip Steak, Black Pepper Steak and my personal favourite the Grilled Salmon
The chicken or beef fajitas are also really good if you looking for something light but meaty
The selection from their smokehouse is simply mouth watering with their Hickory Smoked Pulled Lamb or Chicken and Smoked Beef Brisket
The Burgers here are awesome too, the Hickory Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger, Mushroom & Swiss Burger and the Classic Hard Rock Burger is a must try. They have a good selection of sandwiches too,
Hard Rock’s Smokehouse Menu uses the very best Hickory wood chips to slowly cook its ribs, chicken and beef to juicy, tender perfection.
For those on a diet and insist on eating healthy they have a wide variety of salads that is simply delicious. The Cobb Salad and Caesar Salad with Chicken or Beef or Salmon is a crowd favourite. The Grilled Chicken Chop Salad and Smokehouse Chop Salad is also a must try.
The Hard Rock Cafe also serves some of the best tasting Malaysian fare. You will find one the best "nasi goreng" served here. The Seafood Char Kway Teow is also a must try. Other local favourites included in the menu here include Oz Tail Asam Pedas and Beef Noodle Soup.
Whatever you choose to eat make sure you save some space for dessert, as they are to die for. The hot fudge Brownie, apple cobbler, cheese cake and mud pie here are legendary.
The have a 3 Course Set Lunch Menu for those on the go at just RM38 Nett.
In addition to its food, Hard Rock Cafe’s extensive, award-winning drinks menu includes Hurricanes, Margaritas, signature favourites and Alternative Rock (alcohol-free) beverages, all available in Hard Rock souvenir collectible glassware. At night, Hard Rock provides some of the best live band entertainment in Kota Kinabalu, Take Cover band performs there nightly.
