Malaysian ambassador to Switzerland dies

 
PETALING JAYA: Datuk Mohd Zulkephli Mohd Noor, the Malaysian ambassador to Switzerland, died in Berne on Wednesday morning.
The 57-year-old is survived by his wife, Datin Anna Amalina Imam Baweh and five children.
The Malaysian embassy is making arrangements to bring the body back to Malaysia.
Mohd Zulkephli started his service as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1984, and prior to his appointment as ambassador to Switzerland, was the ambassador to Turkmenistan.
He was also the ambassador to Libya from 2009 to 2011, during which he was directly involved in the evacuation exercise of Malaysians from Libya.
During his diplomatic career, Mohd Zulkephli had served in Los Angeles and Geneva.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry, which described Mohd Zulkephli as a dedicated and committed officer, also extended its condolences to his wife and family members.
