Watch what a $4.9 million proposal looks like and find out what happened between Jho Low of Malaysia and Elva Hsiao (Taiwanese Singer)

$4.9 million wedding proposal ended up with Elva rejecting him

Billionaire Malaysian businessman Jho Low, who became infamous for living the high life with Hollywood celebrities and Arab oil barons, is making news again for his outrageous date night with Taiwanese pop star Elva Hsiao.
True to his flamboyant style and big partying ways, Jho threw Elva a RM5 million (S$2 million) surprise dinner date at the exclusive Atlantis The Palm hotel and resort in Dubai, all to declare his love and affection for her.
Someone with access to the date posted a five-minute-plus clip on YouTube of the extravaganza night, in which Jho woos Elva with a romantic dinner, roses, orchids, jewellery, live music and fireworks at the hotel's private beach.
He also had a big heart shaped into the sand by a hundred candles. Out on the sea itself, a giant neon light backdrop hung between two yachts with the message "Jho [hearts] Elva".
Halfway through dinner, two men parachuted down from the sky to present Elva with a Chopard pendant-and-necklace set estimated at RM83,500.
This was followed by a million-ringgit fireworks show and a violin performance.
Throughout the night, they were apparently doing a lot of hugging.
Although she was touched to tears, Elva allegedly rejected his 'proposal'.
Elva's manager has clarified that the incident happened last year.
According to Apple Daily, Hsiao 33, rejected the proposal as she only saw Low, 31, as a “little brother”.
The songstress is currently reported to be dating Taiwanese actor Kai Ko, who is 12 years her junior.
The pair was said to be holidaying together in Bali.
