The event was held at at the Red Carpet Avenue at the Encorp Strand Mall.  Encorp Strand Mall’s Red Carpet Avenue was transformed completely with a giant marquee in Stylo’s signature look. This is where the runway shows and after partrries are held.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Petronas Formula 1 Grand Prix Race in Sepang this weekend,  Mercedes are the main sponsors of the event founded and run by Malaysian fashion runway Supremo Datuk Nancy Yeoh, President and CEO Of Stylo International.

Mr. Roland Folger the CEO of Mercedes in his speech reemphasised the company's positioning and branding with fashion all over the world.Mercedes-Benz has been sponsoring fashion events on a global scale for 15 years and managed more than 30 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks.“Fashion and cars have more in common than one might assume. Both encapsulate the modern, trendy lifestyle and follow certain prevailing trends"

A popular figure for most of the guest at the STYLO event must be Datuk Jimmy Choo, world renowned shoe couturier and honorary Advisor to STYLO International who patiently obliged to what must be no less than a thousand selfies!.

The organisers  however did a boo-boo by allowing one of the models showcasing the designs of Fairuz Ramdan to smoke on the runway. With the Government's stand on smoking, this would not have gone down well with the Ministry, plus the ban on tobacco companies association with motor racing.

I would love to see real singers accompany the model on the runways like how they do it on Victoria Secret's runway shows.

The after party was awesome, the music keeping to the  Fashion Anarchy - Rebel Revolution theme with DJ Jeff on the decks. The drinks and finger food kept flowing keeping all the guest happy and contented although at one point it reached boiling point in the marquee. I am not sure if it was the drinks or because the place got really packed with KL's socialites and those ftom the fashion industry. I guess it was a bit of both.

STYLO served all guest their signature supper treat- "nasi lemak". This is a great initiative to bring the simple nasi lemak around the world wherever STYLO has events.

Overall the event was well run, Those who are new to STYLO events will be surprised how guest are ordered around by the Emcee of the night Doreen, but this helps to keep the whole event running in smooth order and on schedule. Anyone not following her instructions risk being sarcastically told off on the mic!

No doubt about it the,STYLO events are a 'Must Attend" event!.
