MALAYSIA AIRLINES MH370 48 LOCAL AND 100 FOREIGN MEDIA HAVE MOVED TO PWTC THE VENUE FOR ALL FUTURE PRESS CONFERENCES

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 48 local media and over 100 foreign media covering the search and rescue (SAR) operation for MH370 have started moving into the media centre at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) close to the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

Journalists from local and international media agencies, including Bernama, started to bring in their equipment and book their workstations from as early as noon today.
Most of the journalists seemed satisfied with the new media centre that offers a bigger space, bigger hall for the press conference and close to the city centre.
Besides that, the secretariat also provides other facilities such as internet access and food.
The international media include CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, Associated Press, Sky News, China's CCTV and organisations from Japan, Indonesia and Singapore.
A Ministry of Transport statement yesterday said the relocation to PWTC was due to Sama-Sama Hotel's commitment towards guests coming for the Formula 1 Grand Prix this week.
The daily media conference has been held at Sama-Sama Hotel near KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang, since the first day Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing went missing on March 8.    --BERNAMA
