Some 320 individuals awarded in conjunction with Federal Territories Day

PETALING JAYA: Former Federal Territories and Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa head the list of 320 recipients of awards and medals in conjunction with the Federal Territories Day on Saturday.
Both recipients were conferred the Datuk Seri Utama Mahkota Wilayah award which carries the title Datuk Seri Utama.
The Darjah Seri Mahkota Wilayah award, which carries the title Datuk Seri was conferred upon 17 individuals including GLOMAC Bhd group managing director Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar Mohamed Mansor and Malaysian Indian United Party president Senator Datuk Seri S. Nallakaruppan.
Mohd Zin and Group president Datuk Pang Kan Ti, High Court judges Datuk Noor Azian Shaari, Datuk P.Nallini and Datuk Yeoh Wee Siam, were among the 59 recipients of the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah, which carries the title Datuk.
The awards and medals are to be conferred on Saturday by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah at the Jalan Duta palace.
The remaining recipients will receive the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah, Kesatria Mahkota Wilayah, Ahli Mahkota Wilayah and Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah medals.
Since 2008, awards and medals have been given out on Federal Territories Day to show appreciation for the contribution of Federal Territories residents towards the development of said territories.
