KOTA BARU: A healthy baby boy, who is believed to be 14 days old, was found in front of a house here – with instructions to feed the infant every three hours.
The 2kg baby, with his umbilical cord still intact, was found by house owner Nora Syettah Mohd Zain, 41, at Kampung Jerulong, Jalan Pasir Mas Salor, after she heard the cries of the infant at 4.20am yesterday.
OCPD Asst Comm Azaham Othman said the baby was found wrapped in a blanket and covered with a mosquito net.
“A bag was found filled with baby clothes, baby paraphernalia, a box of powdered milk and a note that we believe was written by the baby’s mother. According to the note, the baby was born on Jan 16 and was vaccinated against smallpox and Hepatitis B at a private clinic.
“There were also instructions to feed the baby every three hours,” he added.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code for baby dumping.
