MOVIE "TAKEN" STARRING LIAM NEESON - BEST MOVIE TO BE WATCHED BY WHOLE FAMILY

BEST FAMILY ACTON MOVIE

One of The Best Family Action movies which is a must see movie with the whole family must be the movie Taken starring Liam Neeson. This is one action film that you won't be able to take your eye off or even go to pee when the action starts. I'm amazed that many people have not seen this movie yet.

If you got teenage kids, this is a movie you must watch with them,

Synopsis
The subject of the movie, trafficking in women, demonstrates how women are taken as slaves by organizations which are shown to be Muslim at both the low end (Albanians) and high end (Arabs) of the spectrum. The human-trafficking ring operating in Paris kidnaps Bryan Mills’ (Neeson) seventeen year old daughter, Kim (Grace), while she is on vacation. Mills is a former spy who is now a divorced man and living a solitary life. He regrets that his job kept him away from home for so long and he retires in order to revive his relationship with his only child. As his wife Lenore (Janssen) bitterly states, "You sacrificed our marriage to the service of the country, you've made a mess of your life in the service of your country; can't you sacrifice a little one time for your own daughter?" His wife has moved on, marrying a wealthy businessman who gives a horse to Kim while Bryan gives her a Karaoke machine. The contrast in gifts pierces him to his core and he leaves the birthday party feeling worthless.

The plot emerges when Kim asks permission to spend the summer in Paris, and Mills, an insanely overprotective father, denies her at first. She then confirms the worst suspicions of every overprotective parent on earth by getting kidnapped, along with her friend Amanda, within minutes of arriving in Paris. After a frantic phone call with Kim that gives a few key clues about the kidnappers, Mills has packed his toolkit of weapons and jetted overseas, preparing to "tear down the EIffel Tower if I have to" in order to find his daughter.

Taken highlights a number of issues: the fragility of a famous lifestyle; the damaging effects of divorce; the dangers a materialistic world holds for young women who are commodified as objects; and, expressly, the subversion of society by external elements. In the movie, it is an Albanian trafficking ring which sells kidnapped girls to French middlemen who circulate at the highest levels of society. They in turn sell the girls to the highest bidder—in this case, an Arab sheikh.

At one point, the daughter is paraded in a see-through burqa and sold to the Arab bidder. Mills’ pursuit of the kidnappers is a fast-paced journey through three violent scenes of mayhem. In the process, he learns that he cannot trust the French spy agency, which receives payoffs from the slave trade, nor can he trust the upper class of French society, since it is one of their representatives who is ultimately responsible for facilitating a slave trade in European and American tourists

It's action packed all the way to the end. The movie had good reception at the box office, so it was no surprise that Taken 2 came out in 2012
